Friday Nights & Cocktails – Vancouver

Days are long, summer is almost here, and what’s a better way to start off the weekend than a couple of cocktails with some friends? Here are a few of my favourite places to socialize:

The Distillery

Handcrafted cocktails in an early 20th century themed bar. Think Audrey Hepburn, Al Capone, dirty vodka martinis, and house-made infused vodkas.

Central Bistro

Close to English Bay in the West End, this place is one my favourite go-to’s for Bacon Infused Caesers and craft beers. The great thing about this place is that they serve a wicked breakfast and at night turn into a relaxing lounge. Check out Jazz Nights on Sundays, people watch on their patio during the summer, or cozy up to the fireplace in the winter.

Guu Otokomae

This place is awesome. It is a Japanese restaurant and as soon as you are being seated, all the waiters and waitresses are yelling things out in Japanese. Greetings, orders, drinks, good-byes, you name it. The food is pretty creative and it’s always a good night when you’re drinking Sake.

Cats Social House

One of the best places to go for Caesers in Vancouver. Actually located on Granville Island, you can explore the market during the day then swing by the Social House for local lager or a house-made Caeser.

  1. Great post! I haven’t tried these spots yet, but I love visiting Vancouver and need to remember these to check out someday 🙂
