Living Abroad- The First Month

Wow, the first month of living abroad has come and gone. It literally feels like I just landed, yet I have been gone for 5 weeks now. I have done so much, yet not it is like I have barely scratched the surface of living in Berlin.

So my first month of living abroad. I have managed to sort out my banking, my visa/registration, my accommodation, and my cell phone plan. All the essentials I tried to figure out in my first week or two here.  But besides the general tasks, this past month I have:

Gone on a road trip through North Western Germany with a friend from home. From exploring little towns off the highway, to climbing the highest peak in the North, to running through fields of wildflowers, I thoroughly enjoyed packing up the car and hitting the open road.

Between eating everything sweet in sight, I have managed to find the cutest macaroon and coffee shop a few blocks from my apartment, as well as low-key riverside lounges, an all-you-can drink wine bar, and the best Lebanese food in Berlin.

I also did a weekend trip down to Prague. Between exploring the Old Town, wandering the streets, visiting the castle, I was able to spend some good, quality time with a travel friend I met in Spain a few years ago.

And that is not even close to all of it. I met some really nice friends, started learning the language, and getting more comfortable in Berlin. These are a few of the highlights over the past month and I cannot wait to continue my adventure.
